Bilingualism Matters @ USC Library 

The Bilingualism Matters @ USC Library is a space where educators can visit to explore and checkout multilingual books. The library started as a small collection of personal books. The library has grown to include books in multiple languages including English, German, Chinese, Spanish, and French. Our collection consists of almost 2,500 titles. The books are a mix of picture books and novels for children. Books are available for checkout. You can search our catalog at this link:

Library Policies

  • Books can be loaned for one month with one renewal. 

  • Email us (bilingsc@mailbox.sc.edu) if you want to borrow books (please include the following information: your name, school, position, title of the book you want to borrow, and date & time of your visit).
  • ID is required to check out books.
  • Lost or unreturned items are subject to replacement fees. 
  • PK-12 teachers who are affiliated with language schools/programs can borrow up to 10 books at a time.
  • Upon your request, we can provide two sets of literature material for classroom group reading.
  • You can put books on hold for 48 hours.
